Who we are

Naviscroll is a personal project, not a company. It is free, nothing is sold, and there is no organisation behind it. Anything about this policy: support@naviscroll.com.

This website

naviscroll.com is a static site. It sets no cookies, uses no browser storage, and loads no analytics, advertising or embedded third-party content. It is served by Cloudflare Pages. Like any web server, Cloudflare records standard request logs that include IP addresses; those logs are Cloudflare's and are covered by its own privacy policy. No analytics are switched on for this site, so nobody here reads them.

The Naviscroll extension

Capture, screenshots, masking and the built-in document generator run in your browser. Steps, screenshots, preferences and your library are stored in your browser's local storage on your device. Typed values are never stored: the extension records that a field was filled in, never what you typed. Nothing is uploaded and no account exists.

Optional cloud AI

The default document generator is built in and offline. If you opt in to a cloud provider, only the document title, your chosen tone and verbosity, and per-step text (the action, its type, the page title and optionally the page URL) are sent to the provider you chose, using an API key you supply. Screenshots and masked content are never sent. The two optional providers are Anthropic (privacy policy) and OpenAI (privacy policy). Your request is covered by the policy of whichever one you choose.

Retention

What the extension holds stays on your device until you delete it or remove the extension. Nothing is kept anywhere else, because there is nowhere else. Server request logs belong to Cloudflare Pages and are kept under its policy, not ours.

Your rights

There is no account, no database and no mailing list, so there is no personal data here to access, correct, export or delete. Your documents are on your device and under your control. The one exception is ordinary correspondence: if you email support@naviscroll.com, that message sits in an inbox until it is deleted, like any email. Ask and it will be deleted.

This policy is dated and versioned. Material changes are listed on the release notes page.
