Software Licence
The end-user licence for the Naviscroll extension.
The licence
Naviscroll is free. You may install and use the Naviscroll browser extension (the software) in Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge, for your own work or your organisation's, under these terms. The licence is personal, non-exclusive and non-transferable.
What the software does with your data
The software runs in your browser. Steps, screenshots, preferences and your library are stored in the browser's local storage on your device. Typed values are never stored. Nothing is uploaded to us and there is no account. Optional cloud AI drafting is off by default; if you turn it on you supply your own API key, only document text is sent to the provider you chose, and that provider's terms apply to that request.
Your responsibilities
You are responsible for what you capture and share. Review screenshots before you export or distribute them; automatic masking is a heuristic and may miss something. Do not capture systems you are not allowed to use.
Restrictions
Do not copy, sell, rent or sublicense the software, remove its notices, or reverse engineer it except to the extent the law allows regardless of this term.
Updates
The browser store may update the software automatically. Updates are covered by this licence. The release notes page describes each one.
No warranty
The software is provided as it is, without warranty of any kind, to the extent permitted by law. We do not promise that it will meet your requirements or that captures will be complete.
Liability
Naviscroll is given away free and unsupported by any commercial guarantee. To the extent permitted by law, its author is not liable for loss of data, loss of profit or indirect loss arising from the software. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Ending the licence
You may end it at any time by removing the extension. We may end it if you breach these terms. Your documents remain yours; export them before you remove the extension.
