Requirements

  • A current version of Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge on Windows, macOS or Linux.
  • No account. Nothing to sign up for.
  • Storage in your browser for your library; export files to keep copies elsewhere.
  • Optional: an API key of your own if you choose to turn on cloud AI drafting.

After installing

    Pin the Naviscroll icon to your toolbar.

  2. 2

    Click it to open the side panel, then press Start.

  3. 3

    Do the task. Press Stop: the procedure is saved and opens in the editor.

What the extension asks permission for

The browser shows these when you install. Each one is used only when you act.

StorageSaves steps, screenshots, preferences and your library on your device.
Active tab and tabsIdentifies the tab you are capturing so it can be screenshotted.
ScriptingStarts the recorder in tabs that were already open when you pressed Start.
Side panelHosts the recorder in the browser's side panel.
Access to websitesRecords on the sites you choose, only while you capture. Also carries the opt-in AI request to the provider you chose.
